Job Description: What We Are Looking For
Baylor University's Department of Accounting and Business Law is searching for a Part-Time Support Staff, who will assist various areas of the department throughout the year, supervised by the office manager. Roles would primarily include supporting the Undergraduate and Graduate Program Directors, the Department Chair and Associate Department Chair, and the Career Management Director.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills who can support academic advising processes, student records management, and departmental events. The role is part-time and requires working in the office for 15 - 20 hours per week over 2 - 5 days per week.
A Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant work experience are required. Two years of relevant work experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

What You Will Do
Assist with the coordination of undergraduate and graduate program functions, including supporting academic directors in managing graduation plans, reviewing degree audits, processing student petitions, and maintaining relevant databases
The role also involves meeting with students as well as facilitating communication between students, faculty, and university offices, ensuring accurate and timely processing of advising and graduation-related documentation.
Additional responsibilities include supporting departmental leadership with professional development event logistics, coordinating with corporate partners, and maintaining compliance tracking such as CPA licensure updates and scholarship reporting.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage cyclical workloads, especially during peak academic advising periods
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
