The hiring Company is a long-established manufacturing organization with one location in Bay City, Texas. This Controller position leads the day-to-day financial process from project start-up to production, setting up cost accounting, managing cash flow and budgeting for both direct and indirect expense. The Controller position is responsible for cash management, risk management, financial reporting and all accounting processes which include month-end closing, financial and cash forecasting and leading in financial reporting and financial management working direct with manufacturing. This position reports direct to the President of the Company.
Looking for 5 years minimum of manufacturing accounting and reporting experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent business experience which would include 10+ years of progressively responsible experience. An MBA is a plus. CPA or CMA will be preferred. Other competencies required: strong skill sets in communication verbal and written, time management, and meeting deadlines. Experience with Excel, QuickBooks and other related software is preferred. Experience with bills of material, inventory systems, sales commission, sales orders and integrated accounting is preferred.
