Corporate Accounting Manager
The Corporate Accounting Manager is a key member of the Asset Living corporate accounting team. This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for many aspects of day-to-day operations and financial reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise day to day corporate accounting operations including billing, accounts payable, general ledger, revenue recognition, and cash management, and ensuring that the books are closed in accordance with US GAAP
- Review monthly financial statements and perform variance analyses
- Prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues timely
- Prepare journal entries for complex or higher risk areas, including corporate payroll and various insurance programs
- Reviews AP invoices for accurate coding; analyzes expenses to ensure that all expenses are captured in the financial data
- Prepare audit and tax related requests
- Drive consistency and month end close process standardization across the Asset Living regions
- Lead in development of new processes and procedures to improve month end close and financial reporting
- Develop and maintain proper procedures in technical accounting areas such as lease accounting, fixed assets, intangibles and revenue recognition and prepare accounting memos when necessary
- Support M&A in the areas of onboarding acquisitions and post-merger integration activities
- Perform other duties as directed by Controller
Education & Experience
- Bachelor and/or Masterâ™s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Eligible or CPA Preferred
- Previous experience leading or managing a team of accountants
- Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of financial concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to execute initiatives while balancing day to day objectives
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
