The Vice President of Administrative Services is responsible for the overseeing of the operations of the financial and business areas of the college, security and public safety, and facilities management for Wharton County Junior College (WCJC). The Vice President of Administrative Services has the responsibility for policy changes and recommendations for new policies for areas under his/her purview. This position reports directly to the President.
Requirements
The position of Vice President of Administrative Services requires a CPA certification or Masters of Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or related field and eight (8) years of professional accounting experience, preferably in municipal finance and capital markets, including a detailed knowledge of the treasury functions, taxation, bonded indebtedness, and accounting and financial reporting requirements. This position requires eight (8) years of experience in a management position. The incumbent of this position must possess a demonstrated effective leadership and excellent interpersonal, supervisory, written, and oral communication skills. A criminal background check is required.
