The Senior Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable and payable management, fixed assets, payroll processing, financial reporting, and budgeting. This role plays a key part in coordinating the external audit process and manages a team of six accounting professionals. As a crucial member of the management team, the Senior Controller collaborates with Senior Management and the Board in addressing operational and strategic financial matters. In addition to providing detailed financial analysis, this position also handles various corporate administrative functions. The Controller is the leader of the accounting department and is expected to exhibit strong leadership skills and provide guidance to the accounting team to ensure the department's success.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree: Accounting or Finance
Preferred: CPA certification
Minimum experience: 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Lead and Inspire: Direct the accounting team in daily financial functions, ensuring compliance with established processes and deadlines.
Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze business performance metrics and produce detailed reports to inform strategic decision-making.
Financial Oversight: Manage payables and processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
Cash Flow Control: Monitor cash flow and payables to ensure timely financial obligations.
GAAP Expertise: Research and apply GAAP principles to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Audit Coordination: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to best practices and accounting standards.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency and accuracy in business processes.
Policy Development: Establish and implement accounting policies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
