The City of Humble, Texas, is located in Northeast Harris County, along the I-69/US 59 Eastex Freeway, just north of Beltway 8. The City covers approximately 10 square miles and is situated approximately seven miles west of Lake Houston and only 15 minutes from downtown Houston.  As part of the greater Humble-Kingwood-Atascocita area, Humble is strategically located for continued growth and success in one of the fastest growing regions in Harris County.   The City of Humble is a home rule city operating under the council-manager form of government. The Council is made up of the Mayor and five Council Members who are elected at-large to two-year terms, with no term limits.
