The Chief Financial Officer directs and oversees the financial activities of the corporation and its related entities. Directs the preparation of financial reports and summaries, budgets, and creates forecasts predicting future growth.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
Works closely with other departments, management, board of directors and finance committee to set financial strategy, budget, direction, and priorities.
Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
Works with the Executive Vice President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
Responsible for presentation of financial reports and updates to management, Executive Committee and finance committee.
Responsible for all merchant processing, ACH, and payment processing.
Oversee all aspects of accounting, financial and related reporting functions of the organization and its related entities, including planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
Oversee and manage treasury relationship, duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to cash management, covenant compliance, banking and investment communication and compliance.
Oversee and manage the employee benefits and payroll relationships, duties, and responsibilities for the Association and its related entities.
Ensure accounting internal controls and procedures are up to date and followed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related degree.
Certified Public Accountant designation required.
Minimum of 15years of experience in financial management.
Must have a minimum of 10 years of leadership/management experience.
Experience working closely with management, board of directors, and finance committees.
Experience working with auditors and guiding the organization through an audit.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems. QuickBooks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of payroll rules and laws.
Requires strong analytical, management, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
