Due to our continued growth, we are hiring a Financial Controller. Reporting directly to L7’s Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the company’s Financial Accounting, Tax and Audit function. Your team will be responsible for management and execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes (AR, AP, Banking and Financial Statement preparation) as well as management of the annual external audit and tax filings including managing interaction with external consultants.
This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX.
What you will get to do
Take ownership & responsibility of the full Financial Cycle utilizing best of breed software solutions including Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Expensify ensuring quality control over transactions and related policies and systems
Advise CFO and Company leadership on SaaS, Software and Professional Services revenue recognition accordance with ASC 606 and other relevant US GAAP / IFRS accounting standards
Prepare and publish timely financial statements every month
Manage and comply with local, multi-state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings including income taxes and sales and use taxes
Hire, develop and retain a team of accounting professionals scaling the team alongside the growth of the business
What will make you a good fit
At least 10 years of direct, industry related experience as a Financial Controller
Demonstrable experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Expensify or similar advanced accounting systems
Relevant undergraduate degree qualification including accounting
CPA required
Related Advanced Degree advantageous

Definite customer service attitude demonstrating understanding that achieving company goals is more important than individual goals
Demonstrable track record of designing, implementing, and managing systems and automating accounting tasks and processes
International operations experience including countries such as Canada, Europe and India
Experience defining, implementing, and executing financial statement quality assurance techniques
Clear inclination and affinity for repetitive task automation, a strong desire to free up your own and other team members time from manual tasks to allow focus on review and analysis
Experience in and understanding that in a start-up environment change is a constant, the ability to manage fast paced change and anticipate future needs is integral to change
