StevenDouglas has been retained for a Controller search in Austin, Texas. We are seeking a strong technical accountant interested who is passionate about improving and creating processes within a smaller company environment. Over the next 4-5 years, the Company plans to continue growth via both M&A and organic growth, including international expansion.
HYBRID : 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
Reports to CFO and VP of Operations
Supported by a team of 10-12 individuals (transactional, AR and AP)
The Controller will be responsible for assisting the CFO in providing financial leadership for the company by participating in the development of controls, training employees on new procedures, and providing oversight of those procedures while delivering overall business support to the Group. The ideal candidate will need to be system savvy and an expert in NetSuite ERP and Excel, and be ready to be hands-on in developing and implementing our new ERP system (and related components) from the ground up. To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter, assertive, a strong communicator, an excellent trainer and a team builder.
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
5 – 10 years of accounting experience
Strong command of GAAP. Any experience with cash-to-GAAP transition would be particularly valuable.
NetSuite ERP system experience, grasp of Advanced Projects and WIP for Cost modules highly preferred. Any experience with ERP implementation would be particularly valuable.
