Summary
Senior associates are working toward full engagement responsibility. This involves proactively performing the more difficult components of the audit and supervising the workflow of any associates on the engagement.

Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day "in-charge" duties of planning, fieldwork, internal control assessment, and completion for multiple clients within a diverse group of industries.
Proactively interacts with the client’s management to obtain information, resolve potential problems, and make recommendations.
Assists with training of staff members, offers guidance and direction and gives constructive criticism of working papers to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations and our internal quality control documents and manuals.
Successfully multi-tasks while working independently and within a group environment
Acquires a working knowledge of the client’s business.
Proactively communicates with all members of the engagement team and within the division to ensure engagements are running efficiently and effectively.
Researches and analyzes financial statement and audit-related issues or assurance topics as requested by managers/partners.
Works to analyze complex issues or to understand new concepts or types of engagements performed within the assurance division.
Works in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with a focus on details and accuracy.
Performs audit, review, compilation, or other engagements, start to finish, to meet overall client needs.
Transfers critical thinking, research, and audit skills to a variety of unique engagements offered by JTaylor.
Obtain a minimum of 40 credits of CPE each calendar year or meet the Texas State Board requirements
Becomes oriented with JTaylor’s practices, policies, and culture.
Regular and timely attendance
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has oversight of assigned projects.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office setting with the potential for remote work in accordance with the company’s telecommuting policy. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Additional hours as needed to meet client expectations and deadlines.

Position Type:
This is a full-time position. Our standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours and weekend hours may be required during peak busy seasons.
Travel: Travel may be required on occasion. Same-day travel for work at client’s offices, meetings, and seminars which requires use of a personal vehicle. Occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay for work at clients, meeting, or seminars.

Required Qualifications
2+ years of public accounting external audit or related experience.
Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or a related field.
CPA eligible
Knowledgeable with FASB, AICPA, GAAP, GAAS, and the Yellow Book Standards.
Current and valid driver’s license
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
