The Rainwater Charitable Foundation is seeking an Investment Operations Associate for the Foundation’s investment team, which manages a ~$1B endowment to support the Foundation’s philanthropic missions. The position reports to the Foundation’s Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Senior Investment Associate. The objective of the Investment Operations Associate is to support the investment team in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to enable high-quality investment decisions.
The role is based at the Foundation’s office in Fort Worth, Texas. The Foundation currently employs a hybrid in-office/remote work schedule. The position may require occasional work travel.

Key responsibilities include:
Monitor the Foundation’s investment portfolio on a daily or weekly basis
Interface directly with the Foundation’s custodian (Northern Trust) and other service providers, and assist with verifying performance calculations
Monitor and maintain the Foundation’s liquidity model
Support the preparation of quarterly investment performance presentations and reporting materials for the Foundation’s Investment Committee
Provide operational assistance for cash/collateral management, annual audit assistance, and regulatory filings
Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree with strong GPA (3.5+) required
2-8 years of accounting/finance/investment operations experience preferred, though open to nontraditional backgrounds
Fluency in quantitative concepts, demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office
Strong interest in investment management operations
Willingness to learn
Detail-oriented, focused, and organized
High level of professionalism and discretion
Interest in philanthropy and the Foundation’s mission and operations
Adherence to a strict code of ethics and conflict of interest policy, including restricting personal investments to index funds and mutual funds
The Rainwater Charitable Foundation (RCF) is a private family foundation based in Fort Worth, Texas. Founded by Richard E. Rainwater in 1991, RCF began as a nonprofit focused on funding initiatives centered around children, believing that high-quality education can transform their lives and the lives of their families.
