Working within the Health Plan finance department, this position is responsible for the analysis of financial reports, cost and utilization reports, trends and producing a summary of those trends as well as other business opportunities. In addition, responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of new business opportunities and associated financial regulations and guidelines of those opportunities. Additional duties will include gathering, interpreting, and evaluating financial information, generating forecasts and analyzes, creating financial models for future business planning and decision in areas such as new product development and new market strategies.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
3+ years’ experience in healthcare finance or accounting role.
Advanced training or experience in healthcare analytics. Superior analytical skills
Strong presentation and communication skills including ability to present ideas and information concisely to varied audiences.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications, i.e., Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Advanced computer spreadsheet proficiency including pivot tables and complex formulas often linking multiple worksheets (very high level of usage), general software literacy, trending, and "what if" skills required
Strong time management and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to function independently and manage multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
