Overview: The Strategic Advisor is a high net worth estate/wealth planning attorney who will work as part of the Strategic Advisory Team. At Brown Advisory, the Strategic Advisory team is a group of attorneys and other specialists who create and/or implement customized financial and estate planning solutions for individuals and families. Paired with a Private Client Portfolio Manager, a Strategic Advisor is responsible for developing and executing plans on a wide range of wealth management issues in coordination with a client’s outside advisors. Firm: Brown Advisory is a private, independent investment and strategic advisory firm. Its mission is to make a material and positive difference for its clients by delivering a combination of first-class investment performance, strategic advice and the highest level of service. Strategic Advisors who have deep expertise in tax planning, trust and estate planning, accounting, business advisory and other topics, collaborate in many client relationships, and they are essential in Brown Advisory’s effort to provide holistic financial guidance to clients. Location: Austin, TX Experience: Licensed attorney with a high level of sophistication and flexibility in understanding and implementing wealth management planning strategies with 3 – 5 years of experience working in either: (1) a law firm on estate planning, wealth management, or business and tax planning; or (2) an investment firm on wealth management matters for high net worth individuals/families or entities. Must be able to convey a consultative approach to client relationship management and business development and display a broad knowledge base to clients and referral sources. J.D. required. CPA preferred.
